This is the first year that one of the headliners is not from the mainstream rock genre (Pearl Jam in 2012; Nine Inch Nails in 2013; Kings of Leon in 2014). This year, the festival will feature more more hip-hop and R&B artists than from other genres.
Last year, the Made In America festival simultaneously took place in Los Angeles along with Philadelphia. This year, the festival will only take place in Philly. According to the LA Times,
poor attendance, and problems with noise and crowd control are the reasons why the festival will not return to Los Angeles.
