For many, the 24 hours of a day are barely enough to work, eat, sleep, enjoy some free-time or family-time and, additionally, do exercise. The majority of the population, however, doesn’t know that by dedicating 30 minutes a day to walking, the body experiences a large number of benefits; something especially necessary in the US, one of the countries with the highest adult and child obesity rates, and where, additionally, 75 percent of its workers have a sedentary career.
According to the American Heart Association, studies show that a daily thirty-minute walk helps reduce the risk of developing coronary disease or a stroke, in addition to improving blood pressure and stabilizing the blood sugar level. The benefits of this small gesture, however, go on. They also help you maintain your weight, reducing the risk of suffering from obesity, as well as osteoporosis, breast or colon cancer or Type 2 diabetes.
