Described as Marc Vetri’s hall-of-fame flagship, “Vetri” restaurant was named the number one Italian restaurant in the United States by food and travel guide Time Out.

“A stately yet intimate Washington Square West townhouse sets the stage for an eight-course meal that, being painstakingly tailored to each guest, is truly once-in-a-lifetime, ranging perhaps from a seasonal crudo and the renowned sweet-onion crepe with truffle fondue to a raviolo stuffed with squash confited in honey butter, salt-baked branzino, and pistachio flan or chocolate-polenta souffle. A James Beard Award-winner, Vetri and his partner Jeff Benjamin opened the restaurant in 1998. Vetri made headlines in early November after announcing he had decided to sell The Vetri Family group of restaurants to multinational clothing corporation Urban Outfitter (URBN). The deal includes includes Pizzeria Vetri, Amis, Alla Spina, Lo Spied and Osteria.
