Eva Longoria, Danny Trejo, Jennifer Lopez or Marc Anthony were some of the names which crossed Fey’s mind when she was asked about remarkable Latino stars. However, the list is much longer and is growing each day.

For that reason Variety Latino has released the “10 Latinos to Watch” list, with 10 young Latino actors that shouldn’t be missed:

 

Diane Guerrero 

The actress was born in the U.S., where her parents arrived from Colombia. She has a role in two of most popular shows in the country: Netflix's hit “Orange is the New Black” and CW's “Jane the Virgin.” She is also an advocate for immigration reform because, as she shared a few weeks ago on a CNN Morning interview, her parents and her brother were deported when she was 14 years old. 

 

Luis Gerardo Méndez 

This Mexican actor and producer is well known for his leading role in “Club de Cuervos," which is the first Netflix’s show entirely produced in Spanish and filmed in Mexico.

 

Karla Souza

Originally from Mexico DF, she started her acting career in Mexican telenovela “Verano de amor.” Souza also played a role in movies like “Nosotros los Nobles” and “From Prada to nada.” She is currently playing Laurel Castillo role in TV show “How to Get Away with Murder” and Lucía in “Niño Santo.”

 

 

Miguel Gómez

This Colombian-born actor is also know as Aztek Escoba. Gómez is known by his role of Augustin "Gus” Elizalde at “The Strain.” He started his career as a hip hop singer.

 

Stephanie Sigman

Born in Mexico with American roots (her father is American), she will soon became the first Mexican actress to play a Bond girl in James Bond movies. Sigman is also part of Netflix’s show “Narcos.”

 

Natalie Martinez

The actress was born in Miami but she has Cuban ancestry. She started her career in television, in the show “Fashion House.” She also appeared in shows like “CSI:NY” and Matador.” She currently plays the role of Jess Murphy in “Secrets and lies.”

 

Raúl Castillo

Son of Mexican immigrants and born in the U.S, Castillo started his actor career in theater in 2000 but he also acts in films and in television. He has roles in “Looking” and “Gotham”, and has two movies in post production. 

 

Maite Perroni

Perroni was born in Mexico and is an actress, songwriter and model. She debuted in the show “Rebelde.” Currently she is part of the cast of “Antes muerta que Lichita.”

 
 

Diego Boneta

This Mexican actor and singer is also known for his role in “Rebelde” and CW show “90210.” Now, he has a main role in “Scream Queens.”

Lorenza Izzo

The only Chilean on the list is actress Lorenza Izzo. Her career started in 2011 with “Qué pena tu boda.” She is working on three different movies this year: “Knock Knock,” “The Green Inferno,” and “I’m not crazy.”
