Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim reiterated his proposal for a 3-day work week during a speech at the annual conference of the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders on Sunday.
According to Slim, people would have more free time but this would also mean longer work hours and delaying retirement until a person is 70 to 75 years old.
This was just one of Slim’s points during his speech on how to improve the social and economic status of Latinos in the United States.
He added that the country needs to focus on strengthening the middle class, health care and education, and suggested establishing companies dedicated to working with small businesses in need of financing.
Last week, the Carlos Slim Foundation presented a new website, Acceso Latino, which offers tools and content about education, healthcare and professional development, among other topics.
