DNC committee wants Philly merchandisers
The Democratic National Convention (DNC) needs its keychains, magnets and towels and they are looking for area merch companies to make them.
On Wednesday, the DNC planning committee released the official request for merchandising proposals. The committee is looking for any companies specializing in producing large-scale merchandising projects, both with making the items and selling them. The convention will be held between July 25 and July 28 at the Wells Fargo Center and the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
“The convention provides local businesses with a great opportunity to showcase their products and manufacturing capabilities while creating unique, convention-specific keepsakes for residents and visitors to take home with them,” said Kevin Washo, executive director of the event’s host committee.
The committee said they hope businesses from across the Philadelphia region will “take advantage” of the opportunity to work with them to promote the event. Details about the merchandising and other proposals can be found here. Below is a list of all the items committee is looking for.
Clothing of all kinds, including outerwear and headwear;
Paper products, including books, napkins, and promotional materials;
Desk accessories, crystal lucite, and acrylic gift items;
Mouse pads and other computer accessories;

Bags of all sorts (including tote bags and plastic shopping bags);
