Two new hires for the newsroom
PHILADELPHIA -- AL DÍA News welcomes two new members to its staff, Martin Martinez joins the editorial team as a content producer focused on covering business and Dominique Johnson will be covering tech and tech innovation.
Martín comes to AL DÍA from The Daily Citizen newspaper in Dalton, Ga., where he covered crime and courts as well as local politics and education. Born in Chile, but raised in Wilmington, Delaware, he graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Journalism.
“I look forward to creating something new for our readers,” said Martín. “I feel like we could do a great service to them, and the city as a whole, by bringing a new perspective to covering business in Philadelphia."
Dominique Johnson is a Temple University graduate and a Knight Fellow. As a recent graduate he hopes to learn all he can from his peers in the newsroom and to grow as a journalist with AL DÍA.
We believe in the importance of the diversity of voices and perspectives within reporting, and in a tumultuous and evolving Philadelphia media climate we’re proud to support and welcome Martin and Dominique to the editorial team.
