AL DÍA scores four Pen & Pencil Club news awards nominations
PHILADELPHIA -- AL DÍA News is delighted to announce that four members of our news team have been nominated for this year’s Pen and Pencil Club Philadelphia News Awards. Max Marin and Ana Gamboa are nominated in the Best Community Reporter category, while Arturo Varela is nominated for Best Politics and Government Journalist, and Sabrina Vourvoulias is nominated for Best Editor.
With an almost 125 year history, the Pen & Pencil club is the oldest continuously operating press club in America, and the second oldest in the world. The club accepts open submissions from members, afterwards the P&P Board of Governors narrows it down to five nominees in 13 categories, and then leave it up to the masses to vote online.

Voting ends on Friday, December 4th 2015, and winners will be announced at the third annual awards on Thursday, December 17th 2015.
